As Thanksgiving time nears, one of our holiday traditions is the arrival of the annual Kerns Magazine. The latest edition is special for a number of reasons.
First, 2022 is a milestone for Kerns. This year marks the 50th anniversary of when Mr. Kern sold his little shop on Burlingame Avenue to our family. Now, after 2 moves and 3 generations, Kerns Fine Jewelry continues to serve Burlingame as the ultimate destination for fine watches and jewelry.
Next, we had a chance to reconnect with a childhood friend who is now the President and CEO, North America of Baccarat. Born and raised on the peninsula, Jim Shreve’s life adventures have led him to New York City where he runs this iconic crystal powerhouse.

Additionally, we were able to share with you about our endeavor as movie producers. We are excited to help bring the story of Pasang Lhamu Sherpa to the big screen. This national hero of Nepal must be remembered, and her story should be shared with the world.

And last, but certainly not least, we had the opportunity to feature current board members of the PARCA Auxiliary as our cover-models. While not modeling fabulous jewels from Kerns, the PARCA Auxiliary is dedicated to philanthropic endeavors that directly support the PARCA Organization, a private non-profit that serves people with developmental disabilities and their families in the Bay Area.
